The Gunness Farm in Indiana is a place of quiet, methodical work. Belle Gunness maintains the property with a singular focus, her children observing the steady procession of lonely men who arrive and never leave. For Lydia, Myrtle, and Philip, their mother’s grim routine is the only world they know. But beneath the soil of their home, a deeper corruption stirs. The children have begun to sense a presence older and more malevolent than their mother’s crimes, a thing that predates the farmhouse and its secrets.
