The city of Loudwater operates under the indifferent gaze of distant gods and ineffective leadership. Into this vacuum of authority arrives The Fallbacks, a party of adventurers whose ambitions for gold are matched only by their internal dysfunction. Their arrival is immediately complicated by a skirmish with a band of kobold thieves, an incident that draws the hostile attention of the city's established local heroes.
