Superman vs. Meshi (2023-)

Clark Kent is currently in Japan, but his mission is not one of heroics. His focus is on the nation's vast and varied culinary landscape, a pursuit he calls Meshi. Between patrols over Metropolis, he makes daily detours to sample everything from steaming bowls of curry to plates from a conveyor-belt sushi bar. The sheer physical demand of his powers requires constant fuel, and he finds it in these quick, anonymous meals. Occasionally, he convinces a fellow member of the Justice League to join him, turning a simple lunch into a quiet, shared discovery. The steam from a fresh bowl of ramen rises into the Tokyo air.
