In the irradiated badlands of New Vatican, the mod-tracker Max Weaver completes a routine hunt. The target, a modified child, is now in his custody. This child’s unique abilities have triggered a cascade of fragmented, violent memories within Max—memories of a past he cannot fully recall. His search for answers has drawn the attention of other hunters and the city’s enforcers, all converging on his location.
