The daily patrol for Fenton and Geller involves policing the minor, tedious crimes of the time-stream: influencers attempting to livestream heists in 1920s Chicago. Their status as part-time wisecrackers and full-time rule-breakers is a liability. That liability becomes critical when a routine violation exposes them to an inter-time serial homicide. Now thrust into the center of the investigation, they are no longer the hunters but the primary targets. The mechanics of their own department turn against them. The polished chrome and sterile halls of temporal enforcement offer no protection from a killer who operates across centuries.
