In the gray corridors of Hell, the demon Bifrons operates a new enterprise. He has established a practice on Earth, offering guidance to mortals as a form of spiritual consultancy. His operations are managed by his loyal assistant, Zuzu, and aided by the soul of a woman named Elaine. Their collective goal is to accumulate enough positive influence to alter a cosmic ledger. The work is tedious, involving small interventions in human lives. The air in his temporary office smells faintly of ozone and old paper.
