Space Junk (2024)

The final shuttles are preparing to evacuate the last of Faith's generation from the fractured surface of their home. Most have accepted their training for departure, but she remains, a strange metallic device permanently fused to her skull. Her only companion is Hoshi, whose volatile temper is managed by the constant presence of an emotional support chicken. As the planet's systems fail, these two outliers are magnetically drawn to other stranded youths, forming a fragile cluster of lonely souls. Their shared defiance creates a temporary gravity, a reason to remain grounded on a world everyone else is desperate to leave. The air grows thin, and the launch sirens wail.
