In the damp, pine-scented air of Portland, Riley navigates his days between band practice and the chaos of home. His world is a sketchbook of heavy metal dreams, constantly tested by his former Riot Grrrl mother and the morbid fascinations of his goth sister. The fragile order within his own band is perpetually on the verge of collapse. This balance shatters after a night in Forest Park. Riley awakens to a new reality where the monstrous imagery from his favorite films and albums has bled into the waking world. The line between fantasy and a dangerous, encroaching truth has been permanently erased.
