The wandering minstrel and his sharp-witted daughter, Kayli, continue their journey across the land. Their path takes them from one village to the next, where they perform songs recounting the misadventures of the legendary Groo. Their performances bring a temporary reprieve of laughter and reflection to the local populace. For the pair, success is measured in the few kopins tossed into their caps after each show, a small fortune that funds their next meal and the road ahead. Meanwhile, the faithful dog Rufferto navigates his own parallel journey through the same countryside, often encountering the aftermath of the tales being sung.
