The gray, post-conscription life of Petar is a state of permanent detachment. Even the loudest parties in his city feel like a silent film he is merely observing. This changes with Liza, a dancer whose presence introduces a sudden, vivid spectrum of color and sound into his world. Their connection creates a fragile oasis, a private rhythm of cafes and quiet rooms that briefly mutes the noise of his past. But the discipline and violence internalized during his two years in the ex-Yugoslavian army cannot be so easily contained. The structure of their romance begins to fracture under the pressure of memories he has no language to share.
