Profane (2024-)

In the rain-slicked streets of Los Angeles, private detective Will Profane works another homicide. The evidence, however, refuses to follow a logical path. Each piece of the investigation leads back to a single, unlikely source: a celebrated detective novelist. As Profane closes in, the familiar cityscape begins to warp around him. The line separating the investigator from the authored narrative dissolves. His reality is being rewritten from the inside, turning a straightforward case into a confrontation with an impossible, controlling intelligence.
