Breathers (2023)

The air in the city is a slow poison. A detective navigates the haze of his own addiction while a traveling salesman hawks filtration masks, haunted by what he sold before the collapse. In a cramped apartment, a mother and daughter ration their remaining filters. Elsewhere, a pair of siblings witness something that contradicts the official warnings about the airborne pathogen. A new, skeptical movement is gaining voice, challenging the very reality of the threat. These individuals are bound only by their shared, precarious existence in the toxic atmosphere. They are the last citizens, simply trying to draw another breath.
