The streets of Oakland are under siege. Rookie officer Ward, now partnered with the fugitive Lucinda, is navigating a cityscape transformed by sudden, violent incursions. His overbearing partner is gone, replaced by a desperate alliance forged in the wake of an extraterrestrial execution. Their objective is the presumed safety of the Oakland Police HQ, but every block presents a new, hostile encounter. The pattern of these attacks suggests they are not random; Ward and Lucinda are being deliberately hunted. Their journey is a frantic dash through a city where the familiar architecture of law and order has been shattered by an unknown, predatory intelligence.
