A chronal predator is consuming timelines, targeting the origin of the X-Gene. An X-Man from a desolate future has arrived with this warning, his presence a fracture in the present. The only viable countermeasure requires the combined efforts of Bishop and Cable, two soldiers whose methods and histories are fundamentally opposed. Their mission forces them through unstable temporal corridors, into futures that have already been erased and pasts that are still forming. The integrity of every possible tomorrow now depends on their strained alliance. The air in their temporal wake smells of ozone and scorched metal.
