A strange, opalescent shell now rests around Lagoona Blue’b>s neck. Her boyfriend, Gil, found it during a swim and crafted it into a gift. Since she put it on, her behavior has shifted. Her usual cheerful demeanor is gone, replaced by a cold, distant focus that unnerves her friends at Monster High. The shell’s surface seems to pulse with a faint, hypnotic light. Gil watches, helpless, as the person he knows is slowly submerged beneath the artifact's influence. The school halls feel different with her walking through them, silent and changed.
