A year after their escape, the former players of a dark fantasy game gather in London for Chuck’s wake. The reunion is short-lived. The rules of their abandoned world have begun to manifest in the city’s streets, pulling Ash, Angela, Matt, Isabelle, and Sol back into its logic. Their roles as The Dictator, The Fool, and the others are no longer a choice. The game’s mechanics now dictate reality around them, forcing confrontations with the personas they tried to leave behind. London’s architecture warps under the pressure of a reawakened campaign.
