The signs of a new order are everywhere. The Neocracy is not a distant prophecy but an imminent reality, a future that promises extinction for both mutantkind and humankind. While the immediate threat of Orchis demands his attention, Cable is forced to operate on two fronts. His mission to protect Young Nate is now complicated by the need to locate and dismantle this emerging power before its roots can spread.
