A displaced team of X-Men—Magik, Mirage, Marrow, Dust, and Typhoid Mary—has materialized in the unfamiliar landscape of Vanaheim. The local inhabitants immediately identify them as the subjects of an ancient prophecy, one that promises either the realm's salvation or its total collapse. Magik's sorcery is unreliable here, cutting off their primary means of escape. As they struggle to understand their new environment, a separate, growing power consolidates its forces in the wilds beyond the settlements. Survival depends on this fractured group forging a temporary unity, navigating a world that views them as either messiahs or harbingers of doom.
