Years after the X-Virus gutted New York, a single figure still moves through the silent ruins. Peter Parker has saturated his own biology with lethal radiation, a desperate measure to suppress the infection within him. The treatment holds the virus at bay, but it has warped him into something new—a volatile, irradiated version of Spider-Man. His strength is unpredictable, his form unstable. And in the desolate cityscape, he is not the only mutated survivor. The altered environment has given rise to other changed beings, their intentions as unknown as the long-term effects of his own agonizing cure.
