The cramped apartment of Megg and Mogg is a permanent site of chemical haze and quiet desperation. Their days are a cycle of cheap highs and lower lows, shared with their friend Owl and the chaotic Werewolf Jones. Ambition is a foreign concept here, replaced by the immediate need to blunt the edges of depression, poverty, and tangled relationships. Sexuality and identity blur in the stagnant air. Their attempts to connect or improve consistently falter, leaving only the familiar, worn-out patterns of their shared existence. The television’s glow is the primary light source.
