The opulent summer of 1922 on Long Island is defined by the extravagant parties of the enigmatic Jay Gatsby. His mansion is a beacon for the social elite, a calculated stage to draw the attention of Daisy Buchanan. This fragile world of champagne and longing is shattered when a different kind of guest arrives. The colossal form of Godzilla emerges from the Sound, drawn by the spectacle. The estate is reduced to rubble in moments. With his dream physically demolished, Gatsby’s obsessive focus shifts from romance to a cold, singular purpose. The green light across the water is replaced by the monster’s atomic glow.
