The quiet village where Belle resides has been fundamentally altered since her encounter with a dying Enchantress. The local populace now labors without rest, their movements dictated by an unseen compulsion. Newly constructed walls cast long, unnatural shadows that seem to shift and watch. The deepest parts of the surrounding woods are now avoided by all but the desperate; rumors persist of those who venture in and do not return as themselves. A palpable dread has settled over the community, transforming familiar lanes into places of suspicion and silent fear.
